According to AAA, they are predicting a slight decrease in overall travel which is no real surprise. However, AAA members are 59% more likely to travel than non-members. With 6.5 million new members, AAA travel information and discounts are more in demand than ever. While record-high gas prices and worries over the economy are curbing some holiday travel others are taking a mini StayCation. A StayCation would be a mini vacation that is not far from you home but one where you can get away and relax as if you are on a real vacation. I do lots of little StayCations througout the year due to my schedule and it works out really nice plus it's really inexpensive.

We didnt go far, on the 4th. The ocean is about 1 hr from our home, and we did take our kids to see the fireworks, over the ocean. Any trips, we haved planned this year, are close to home.
